Quiltville's Quips & Snips

Thrift store blocks
I have had these for several years and run across them yesterday. They were hand pieced and I had to square them up best way I could. I was surprised when I sewed them together It almost lays flat. I wish I could hand quilt it but my old fingers will not let me. I love it some fabrics are feed sack and some are poly so made over several years.

New mystery started

Wow a year has gone by with no posts. I have been busy. This is the 2018 Bonnie Hunter Mystery. If you want to join in go toquiltville.blogspot.com and follow along. All of my units were done out of my square and strips drawers. I love that they were already cut. Just picked my colors. All scrappy Neutral and Red.

It's been awhile but here we are at another Bonnie Mystery and loving every minute of it. Clue 3 done and the quilt above only needs binding. Another day perhaps

I got number 5 done. I also got Bonnie Hunters mystery finished. I think I'm through with sewing for awhile.

Sometimes you need a mountain

Sometime you need a mountain of scraps to find just the right piece. I may never see my cutting table again but on a cold snowy day this is just the perfect thing to do.
