This is how to make patterns on the computer using your printer and a design. I use a cheap glue stick and my iron. I think it is self explaining. This pattern is from quiltville.com http://quiltville.com/pdf/bonniesbasket6.pdf

thimbles

Thimbles a love hate can't do without them thing. I have many but these two are the go to one's. the yellow one I love because it wont hurt my finger. the metal one is generic from Hancocks or JoAnn's I like the rim hated that it hurt my finger. I had DH take it to the shop and hit it with a heavy hammer making it oval shape. That really helped. The finger in the photo just shows what quilting for too long a time will do to a joint. The box I love we found it at a junk shop someone made it from a drawer. I love how it holds thread I carry it to my easy chair with quilts to sew on bindings. check out Bonnies site to see more thimble stories. http://quiltville.blogspot.com/

Snowed in

No way to get out today two feet of snow then the snow plow came by and topped us off with another two feet at the top of our driveway. But after a nap I got it together and made a fresh apple cake. yummy. Then I made a bib for new g grandson. Then I finished quilting on my RRCB. Yes it is off the frame. I hope to get it trimmed and start the binding tomorrow as I know I won't get to work. Just no way to shovel our way out. Not as young as we used to be.

Roll Roll Cotton Boll quilt

I've been working on this mystery for 8 weeks now. I got the last clue Friday I just finished it on Sunday night. Hubby loves it I'm not sure If I do. I think maybe some embroidery in the strip blocks might liven it up. I'll see what my friends think.

RRCB part 7

Rolling right along. I have not had a lot of time to work on this mystery but I'm keeping up. Not sure that I like my choice of fabrics but time will tell. They are all out of my scrap basket except for some browns and the red/black constant which came out of the stash. I only purchased a half yard of brown. Thanks Bonnie for another great quilt. Only one basket of scraps left where there were two.

Roll Roll Cotton Boll

Keeping up with a mystery at Quiltville.com having fun using up stash.

RRCB step 1 finished

I pulled fabric but after Bonnie posted the instructions for step 1 to use 2 inch strips I went to my 2" bin and pulled green and pink and didn't even use my larger pieces. I love how the pink & green work together. Then I made too many and came up with this way to use them. I'm liking it.
