Design Wall Monday 082310

Several things going today. All I like on the string quilt is hand sewing the binding down. This may wait until cooler weather and a chic flick. The log cabin is a precut noodle that I just had to have. To me there is not enough contrast between the light and dark. I knew this but wanted to get it sewed up and out of there as it does not play well with my stash. Maybe a back for a baby quilt for my next ggrandbaby if it is a girl. The design wall behind the ironing board has the ongoing project. I'm loving it and going slow so as to not mess it up. I have decided to add a narrow dark border then autumn leaves blocks around it. I don't know where I'll go from there.

Love the look of the string quilt - have never done one of those - have to add it to the list of "quilts to do"

Don't you hate when its too warm to sit under a quilt to put a binding on?!?!?!?! That always happens to me around fair time!

I think your string quilt is really nice. My next quilt is of the same fabric, different colorway, that is on your design wall!! Did you embroider the large bird ? It is great. Can't wait to see what you do because I have been mulling over my project and haven't solidified any plans.
